Robert King

MEMBER OF THE BOARD AND
BOARD CHAIR

Rob King is Chair of the LGM Board, and helps lead some of the mentoring. Rob came to Christ in college, was discipled by Pastor Matt (LGM’s Ministry Director), and has been active in his local churches throughout his adult life. Together with his wife, Nancy, and several other families, he planted a church in a NYC suburb and was Chairman of the Board of Elders of that church for fifteen years.

  • Rob just recently retired after over thirty years as a Managing Director of a large, global investment bank where he advised healthcare clients on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. Over the years Rob and Nancy have witnessed firsthand the challenges that pastors face, and they became convinced that good mentoring would help enhance pastors’ effectiveness and longevity in their ministry serving Jesus’ church. Rob has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, a Masters and a PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School.

Nancy King

MEMBER OF THE BOARD AND SECRETARY

When Nancy helped start a church in suburban New Jersey, she read hundreds of resumés, watched many sermons, and interviewed over 100 pastors and thought that many of the pastors interviewed needed mentoring. They would frequently ask the search committee for help with problems at their churches, personal issues, and suggestions for direction in future work. She was saddened that they were turning to strangers because they didn’t have a trusted mentor. 

  • She has also been saddened to see the lack of godly pastors who can stay the course without a moral fall and  thinks mentoring is part of the solution for that problem.  

    Nancy has a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and a Masters from MIT. She is working on a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Southern Maine in pursuit of an LCPC.

Eunju Chung

MEMBER AT LARGE

Eunju came to Christ in elementary school and has been active in her local churches throughout her life. As a pastor's kid, Eunju brings a firsthand understanding of pastorship. She sees mentorship to both pastors and their spouses as integral to “strengthening Jesus’ church.”

  • While the Gospel transcends all cultures, Eunju recognizes how ethnicity, culture, and race can bring different dynamics to mentorship, having served in various church settings, including Korean-American, Korean, and multi-ethnic churches.

    Eunju works as a healthcare consultant. She earned a BS in Biochemistry from Boston College and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Harvard University. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and watching lacrosse games with her husband and two sons.

Matt Ristuccia

MEMBER OF THE BOARD AND DIRECTOR

“Pastor Matt” has been in ministry for over four decades. Early on, he served with a campus discipleship ministry, the Princeton Christian Fellowship. There he learned firsthand the strategic power of mentorship. He then began what became a thirty-five year tenure as Senior Pastor of Stone Hill Church of Princeton, NJ. Matt loves pastoring; he loves God’s people; he loves the Church. He also loves mentoring, something he has been doing formally since the 1990s.

  • His aim in this next phase of ministry is to mentor younger pastors and church leaders with his years of experience.

    Matt writes regularly, both fiction and non-fiction. His Imagination Redeemed, co-authored with Dr. Gene Veith, was published in 2014 (Crossway). Matt’s hobbies include reading, exercising, watching birds, making bread, and riding bikes with his grandchildren. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from Princeton University, an M.Div. from Grace Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. from Dallas Theological Seminary.

William Gore

MEMBER OF THE BOARD AND
VICE CHAIR

Bill Gore is Vice Chair of the LGM Board and leads the prayer ministry.  Bill received Jesus when he was 9 years old in inner city Detroit. He was discipled by Pastor Matt Ristuccia (LGM’s Ministry Director) & Reverend Wayne Wever at Princeton University.  Since graduating, Bill has served on the elder board of 3 churches and as chairman in one.

  • Over these years he has been privileged to disciple many, many men as well as lead numerous study groups and short-term mission ventures.  Bill’s church leadership experiences have cemented his belief that mentoring is key to enabling pastors & church leaders to be strong, viable servants in God’s kingdom for the duration.  From a family perspective Bill is married and has 5 adult daughters & 1 granddaughter.  He continues to work in a large multi-national consumer products company in which he is currently an Engineering Director.  Bill has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.

William Hwang

MEMBER OF THE BOARD AND TREASURER

With a career in technology and law, William is deeply conscious of the tension between values that comes from living out one’s faith in a secular world. As a result, he has mentored Christian businessmen focusing on the integration of faith and work.

  • Having been a church Elder, men’s discipleship group leader, and church plant team member, he believes that mentorship can play a key role in helping pastors and church leaders better understand and reach those not in full-time ministry. 

    William committed his life to the lordship of Jesus in high school, and his faith deepened under the guidance and teaching of Princeton Christian Fellowship staff. He received a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Worchester Polytechnic Institute. After working as an engineer in the defense and commercial sectors, William earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and became a patent attorney. In his free time, he enjoys picking up new hobbies and particularly enjoys reading, cycling, motorcycling, hiking, and other outdoor activities. 

Esther Hwang

MEMBER AT LARGE

As a member of the Linden Grove team, Esther draws on years of experience both in the workforce and in the home. Having grown up in a pastor’s family, she understands firsthand the value of mentorship both in and outside of church life.

  • Esther met Jesus at a young age, a relationship nurtured through discipleship under Princeton Christian Fellowship’s staff—mentors whose examples set the stage for Esther to later come alongside young women facing spiritual, cultural, ethical, and familial challenges.

    After receiving a B.A. in Chemistry from Princeton University, Esther worked in academic and commercial biotech research labs before dedicating her full attention to raising her three sons. She later returned to medical research, working at a startup muscular dystrophy foundation for a number of years. Currently, Esther attends Beit Tikvah Messianic Congregation and Lighthouse Christian Church, where she co-leads a women’s discipleship group. Esther especially enjoys family time, hiking, cycling, classical music, and photography.

Kamesh Sankaran

MEMBER AT LARGE

Kamesh has a strong sense of being called by God to equip others to succeed. He grew up a devout Hindu in India and came to Christ when he was a student at Princeton University. He benefitted from remarkable mentors who deeply invested in him during his early walk with Christ.

  • Having been given much, he recognized that much was expected of him. So, after he received his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering, he committed to building up others. Kamesh has been teaching engineering, physics, and worldview studies at Whitworth University since 2004. In that context, he has built up the next generation of leaders for the Kingdom of God in various spheres of society.

    He continues to serve his local church, of which he has been a part for as long as he has lived in the region, in whatever way he is able. He was the chair of the board of a global missions organization that equips and empowers indigenous Christian ministries in 40 of the least Christian nations in the world. He has served in various roles at the Lausanne Movement. He has a special heart for pastors and church leaders and has walked closely with several senior pastors and associate pastors over the past 20+ years in the challenges they have faced.

    Kamesh is married to Angela, who works as a nurse practitioner. Angela was born in Canada and grew up in Ecuador in a multi-generational missionary family. They intentionally live within walking distance of the university campus to host students in their home for Bible studies and meals and enjoy equipping them to grow in the Lord.


Karen Ristuccia

MEMBER OF THE BOARD & CO-DIRECTOR

“Teacher” and “learner” are the words that best describe Karen Ristuccia, Associate Mentor and Director of Curriculum Development. Whether in the Sunday school or middle school classroom, home school or YMCA pool, one-on-ones with Princeton students, or community Bible study, Karen loves to help others to learn. As she retires this summer from over forty years of Christian school teaching and administration, she will commit more of her time to Linden Grove.

  • Karen understands pioneer work: she was on the founding board of two Christian schools. She has taught Sunday school in every grade (from two year-olds through adults). She has led youth groups, Women’s Bible studies, retreats, and small groups. Karen particularly loves to teach about women in church history, hymn histories, communication, study skills, and habits. 

    As a child Karen learned to swim in the Santa Barbara ocean, and she still loves water. Her other hobbies include reading, lettering, walking with friends, and playing with five grandchildren. She graduated from Princeton University with an English Literature degree and meandered her way through four seminaries to a DMin from Gordon Conwell. Her dissertation (a worldview curriculum for Junior High) continues to be used in the classroom, and her book Joyful Rigor describes the delights of truly Christian education.
